Trading is at the very center of pookemon community experience, which is again true of epée and shield Pokémon. Pée and shield gives you two ways to exchange Pokémon with your friends from all over the world.
How to exchange Pokémon in a sword and a shield of Pokémon
The first thing to do is unlock the Comm Link. You must read the story and you will know that it has been unlocked when a blue Comm Links icon appears in the lower left corner of the screen. Press Y to open the Comm Links menu to start exchanging Pokemon. You can do it offline or online.
Link Trade will allow you to exchange Pokemon with anyone from your list of friends or region. If your friends are not near you, use the + button on the Commerce menu to connect to the Internet and exchange with them that way.
The surprise trade allows you to send a random Pokémon to someone and get a random Pokémon on his part. Unfortunately, these are the only two trading methods because the GTS and other features of the previous games of the series have disappeared from these new titles.
